It seems that Barry fudged his credentials a bit and is actually just an assistant to Central City C.S.I. Seems like Arrow could use a little help.Įnter Barry Allen, Crime Scene Investigator from Central City. The war-time experiments sought to heighten a soldier's endurance, reflexes and strength, and Cyrus has each of those in spades as he not only takes out armed guards and single-handedly hefts a massive centrifuge from Queen Consolidated's Applied Sciences division, but gets the upper hand in fights with Arrow on two occasions. Oliver repeatedly said, "I've beaten someone like this before," but it looks like he's a bit rusty when he takes on the enhanced individual, Cyrus Gold ( Graham Shiels), aka The Acolyte (and double aka for comic fans, Solomon Grundy). The time spent on the island was pretty important to the plot of the contemporary timeline, as the serum's effects popped up again and landed on Oliver's radar. Ivo's ( Dylan Neal) men rounding up the remaining trio. We leave the island with Slade having apparently died as a result of the injection and Dr. Slade's bloody-eyed reaction doesn't bode too well (although comics fans may know differently). Slade's about to die anyway, so after confessing his love to Shado (awkward), Oliver injects him.
One problem: the treatment requires a pretty substantial sedative or the patient will likely die, but there's none on board.
They find it in a secluded cove and quickly get on board to search for the "Miracle" serum to save Slade's life. Oliver and Shado ( Celina Jade) help a badly injured Slade ( Manu Bennett) as they search for the military sub, with Sara ( Caity Lotz) in tow.
